LGBT Helpline Launched / New report on homophobic bullying in schools launched

LGBT.ie is the website of the National LGBT helpline. The site aims to provide a gateway to information and support for LGBT people in Ireland. They also have information that will be useful for the friends and family of LGBT people as well as professionals working with LGBT people. The helpline (1890 929 539, Mon to Fri, 7 - 9pm) was launched on Monday 22nd November.

School principals need to take action to combat homophobic bullying, a new report published by the Equality Authority finds. The report also finds that religious views on homosexuality should not be used as obstacle to addressing homophobia in schools.
