Economic Experts Slam Government Policy

A group of 28 economic experts have signed an open letter to Government which says that its policies are failing and will simply prolong the recession. Congress Economic Advisor Paul Sweeney is among the signatories.
The letter is an initiative of the TASC think-tank. It says that Government economic policy is failing and has led to a collapse in consumer spending and soaring unemployment and emigration. "Not only have Government policies failed to stem this haemorrhage, they have actively contributed to this collapse.."
