Global Solidarity Summer School

2 September 2011 - 3 September 2011

The ICTU Global Solidarity committee would like to invite your union to nominate delegates to the Global Solidarity Summer School on the theme of "Climate change and Decent Work". This year it will be held in the Carlton Hotel (A Fair Hotel) Galway City on 2nd & 3rd September 2011.

This is an excellent opportunity for trade unionists to get together to learn more about the trade union perspective on climate change and how it might be combined with Decent Work conditions. It also provides space to discuss a range of urgent global issues, share union experiences and develop a broader understanding and awareness of the international trade union movement's priorities and objectives.

The Summer School will commence at 1.00 p.m. on Friday the 2nd and conclude at approximately lunch time on Saturday. There will be a wide range of inputs from national and international speakers and a draft programme is available here
