Bullying

Motion 30 :

This motion is due to be discussed on Thursday 04 July between 09:30 AM and 11:00 AM.

Conference:

a) condemns the increasing incidence of bullying, including cyber bullying, and acts of violence perpetrated on workers in the education sector;

b) calls on the employers of education workers to ensure that a safe working environment, free from violence, is provided for every employee;

c) demands the Departments of Education in both jurisdictions come together with the trade union movement to:

(i) launch a campaign to highlight these issues;
(ii)develop a joint approach to eradicating these behaviours in the workplace.
