Taking a Case
The Equality Tribunal was the impartial forum to hear or mediate complaints of alleged discrimination under equality legislation. It is independent and quasi-judicial and its decisions and mediated settlements were legally binding. It has since been merged into "Workplace Relations" since passing of the Workplace Relations Act. Congress raised a number of equality related issues in context of developing this new legislation and will monitor these as time passes.
