The safety representatives register has been initiated by Congress as a key step in trying to provide support to reps undertaking this role. The intention of the register is to enable reps to receive key information that can assist them in undertaking their duties. This can include occasional sectoral information on particular issues or concerns, notification of any regional or sectoral seminars or training events, surveys, and clarification on the rights that safety reps have under Irish legislation. We hope we can develop forums where reps can seek information or assistance in doing their work. The register is intended for safety representatives who are union members.
