The Congress Friday Briefing on May 24th will be on the subject of tipping practices in the hospitality sector. The Friday Briefing is an informal series of talks hosted by Congress through the year dealing with topical and workplace issues.
Fiona Dunne, National Co-Ordinator for the One programmes in Cork and Galway and the Trades Council network for Congress, Deirdre Curran , J.E. Cairns School of Business and Economics at NUI Galway, Senator Paul Garvan , Sinn Fein spokesman for Education and Workers Rights and Clem Shevlin, of SIPTU and local co-ordinator for the ONE Galway Group will participate.
The briefing will be led by ONE Galway, which is an initiative involving communities, student unions and trade unions and also involving Galway Council of Trade Unions, and Irish Congress of Trade Unions.
The Friday Briefing will be at Congress Offices 31-23 Parnell Square , Dublin 1.
