Following on from a number of training sessions aimed at migrant workers and those of an minority ethnic background in 2025, ICTU is pleased to announce and additional course, which due to demand will be delivered on-line.

Research has illustrated that the active participation and advancement of ethnic minority and migrant workers plays a key role in trade union efforts to combat racism. This workshop is designed to develop workplace leaders and enhance participant’s leadership skills to bring them to the fore of trade union activity. The training will offer a vital opportunity for minority ethnic and migrant union members to become familiar with advocacy in the workplace on a range of relevant issues and particularly in further participation within union structures.

Please note that this is a two-part event, with the second taking place at 11.30am on August 23rd. This second part will be hybrid, with participants either joining online or attending in-person at ICTU's offices.

The training is facilitated by Dr Lucy Michael & ICTU, as part of the Stronger Together Anti-Racist Workplaces & Trade Unions Project.

Attendance is free of charge, but you must register in advance.

To do so, simply send an email to [email protected]  stating your name, contact email and trade union affiliation.

Generously supported by Ireland Against Racism Fund.
