The primary aim of the Congress Youth Committee is to be the voice of all young workers and members, ensure youth issues are a priority within the trade union agenda and that the voice of youth is heard in all decision-making and policy planning.
As advocates for young workers, Congress Youth campaigns on issues of particular concern to young people, workers and trade union members. These issues include access to decent employment opportunities, improved working conditions, ending pay discrimination, enhancing job security, adequate housing, quality healthcare, accessible education, and developing a more open, inclusive and multicultural society in Ireland.
