The first pension auto-enrolment contributions will be deducted from 800,000 workers’ pay packets in January. This will include your members in workplaces without an occupational pension as well as workers who have opted-out or do not qualify to join an existing company pension, including new hires on probation.
To help answer the questions members will undoubtedly be asking in the New Year, Congress is hosting an auto-enrolment information seminar on Thursday 23rd October in the CWU for union staff and workplace reps.
This is a not-to-be-missed opportunity to get first-hand information from experts on how the AE scheme will operate, the UK experience of AE and preparing a workplace pension for AE.
