The Irish Congress of Trade Unions has welcomed the Minister for Health’s announcement that Ireland will accept over 30 children from Gaza for paediatric care.
ICTU General Secretary Owen Reidy said, “The Irish Congress of Trade Unions wholeheartedly welcomes the announcement that Ireland will accept children from Gaza for paediatric care. Irish healthcare workers, particularly nurses and doctors, have made this initiative a reality".
ICTU fully supports any practical aid that the Irish State can provide to those who are victims of this terrible atrocity in Palestine. The Minister for Health has taken the right approach to ensure that these children who have been through so much receive much-needed care in our public health service ”, said Mr.Reidy.
